Info Post
What do you get when you combine hilarious performers, an inane topic, and a fact-checker from the completely made up very, very real “Institute of Human Knowledge and Hygiene?” It could only be the Encyclopedia Show, and the Google Austin team stopped by their performance this past week to see just what the fun was all about.

For this month’s variety show extravaganza, the topic was “Wyoming!” Attendees had the opportunity to learn factual (or sometimes not-so-factual) information about topics related to the Equality State through film, slam poetry, songs, skits, and more. For example, did you know Wyoming has a state dinosaur? It’s the triceratops!

Guests could also try out rating and reviewing on Google Places in exchange for some sweet memorabilia, and one lucky attendee even took home a $50 gift card to Book People (where he can buy his very own encyclopedia set, or a book about Wyoming!). We were thrilled to be a part of this awesome event and encouraged participants to share their favorite Places with us, be they from Wyoming or beyond!
