Info Post
Madison, Wisconsin, has a reputation for community spirit, a love for local business, and a history of fantastic local breweries. So it was really great that this week, at the iconic brewery The Great Dane – Hilldale, the Google Places team had the opportunity to meet with almost 50 representatives from local Madison businesses. Over breakfast, we talked Google Places and indulged in special Google Places chocolate bars.

As you know, we recently launched a local marketing campaign in Madison to share with business owners how Google Places can help them better connect with customers. Over the past couple of weeks, thousands of businesses in Madison have received a white box with the iconic Google Places pin on the front. Inside this kit is everything a business owner needs to start getting the word out about their business via Google Places.

Our gathering at the Great Dane was the first of four meetings we have planned in partnership with the Greater Madison Chamber of Commerce. The next one will be held on April 21st at the Vintage Brewing Co. If you’re a business owner and want to join us, register on the Chamber’s website, and find out more information about other upcoming events.

Oh, and when we see you around town, be sure to ask us for one of those Google Places chocolate bars — they were a hit at the Great Dane meeting, and I can promise you it’ll be the best chocolate you’ll have eaten all day.

On, Wisconsin!
