And you guys really had something to say about it! There were many favorites out there, but according to your reviews, these sandwiches were the best of the best:
- Portland Cheese Steak at Peoples’ Sandwich of Portland: Thin-sliced beef, provolone, white American, onions, peppers on a French roll. Says Places user Andrew: “It's hard to say which among this and some of the other infamous sandwich shops of Portland has the best Cubano per se, but Peoples’ cheese steak is in a class of its own. Try the Draper Valley chicken breast variety, as well, when it's offered. Bonus: the weekend late night hours are the TRUTH.”
- Pork Belly Cubano at Bunk: Ham, swiss, pickles and mustard. Says Places user miss orian: “As good as it gets. But you already knew that, didn't you? Everything I’ve had there has been excellent. I love it's sister bar, Bunk Bar, even slightly better. Also, get anything that says pork belly — you will not be sad. Fantastic East Coast favorite sodas like Boylans.”
- The Pork Hammer at Big A** Sandwiches: Ham, bacon, sausage, home-cut fries and homemade cole slaw. Says Places user Joseph: “Pork Hammer! I used to go here on the weekends when I lived in Vancouver. I'm now in Roseburg but still stop by when I go up north. I love this place. Never had bad service. Always had great food. Weekly specials are always creative. There is no reason not to try it. Price is well worth what you get.”
