Reviewing the Best Pet Places in Portland, Oregon

Because we had so much fun at our Doggie Day Out in Austin, Texas, we wanted to continue celebrating all of our favorite pet-related places, from veterinarians to boutiques to groomers. So earlier this week we held a Pet Review Day reception at Portland’s Dogs Dig It, a doggie day care with one of the largest outdoor dog play-care areas in Portland. More than 100 pet lovers in the Portland community joined us and rated & reviewed some of their local favorites on Google Places.

A big hit with attendees were our gift bags:

Thank you to Hip Hound boutique, which sells pet food, treats and pet fashions, for donating samples of organic treats for these baggies. And another big thanks to the cafe Sniff for donating 2-for-1 espresso drink coupons and coupons for free washes at their dog salon.

Many of our Google Places friends came by with their dogs. Below is Squishy, the furry Dachshund friend of Howard from Made In Oregon. (Howard, you may remember, joined us on our first Google Places Review Bus Tour, to find the best French fries in Portland.)

Judging by your reviews on Google Places, some of the local pet favorites include Laurelhurst Veterinary Hospital and the boutique Furever Pets, which hosts Greyhound adoption days and other pet-related community activities.
