Info Post
Editor’s Note: Now and then we'll be spotlighting one of our amazing Google Places reviewers. Both so you guys can start to get to know one another — YEAH community — but also so we can pull together and share our favorite local places. Let's do this.

Caleb at a recent Portland Timbers game.

Location: Portland, Oregon

Have you discovered any new places thanks to Google?
I actually re-discovered a place. There is a great little restaurant/bar in Southeast Portland called Beaker & Flask that I had been to when it first opened, but never again returned (though I very much enjoyed my meal there). Recently, while explaining how to rate and review places on Google to a friend of mine, I punched in a search for "dinner" on the Google Maps app for my Android phone while we were parked just a few blocks away from Beaker & Flask. It came up as a top result — not because it was the closest restaurant to me, but because I had recently rated another restaurant 4 stars. I immediately starred Beaker & Flask on Google Maps, and made plans to have drinks there later that evening!

Where can I get a delicious burger in Portland?
Too many good choices, so instead of one of the obvious answers, I'm going to recommend a hidden gem of downtown Portland that's been in business for ages. It's an old fashioned diner-style burger joint called The Red Coach that is only a half block away from Pioneer Square but nearly invisible to passers-by. Go there, get the Carl's Special w/ Bacon, and I dare you not to make "Mmmm Mmmm" noises while you eat.  Bonus points for ordering a chocolate shake! You won't regret it.

Where's the best place to buy some new threads?
There’s a place called The Destroy Store on East Burnside that you'll love if you're a t-shirt nerd like me.  They only have stores here and in NYC, and a lot of their designs are totally unique to Portland.

What are one or two little-known gems you tell out-of-towners they have to check out?
I always suggest people go to Portland City Grill, not for the food (though it is quite tasty), but for the view.  It's on the 30th floor of the "Big Pink" building in downtown Portland and provides one of the best views of the city in my opinion, even on a rainy day. The other things I tell people about are places you can only find in Portland, like Powell’s Books, Voodoo Doughnut, etc.

What are some of your Portland Best Evers, and why?
Toro Bravo for their amazing chef’s selection tapas dinner (only $25) & their sister restaurant (same owner) Tasty N Sons, home of one of the most amazing breakfasts I've ever enjoyed. Also on the list has to be Screendoor for their chicken & sweet potato waffles breakfast (ask for a side of their house gravy to dip the chicken and prepare to fall in love). And among the many cool bars we have in town, I always love going to The Driftwood Room (tucked away inside the old/historic Mallory Hotel - now called Hotel deluxe). It's very "Mad Men-esque” — and I'm not going to explain what that means, you just have to try it. Prost! is my favorite place to get a beer, and it's also a fun place to start a Friday night because it sits on one end of a long stretch of awesome local shops, bars and restaurants on N Mississippi Ave. Those are just a few, but definitely on my personal top 10.
