Info Post
When you rate and review a place on Google Places — via the desktop app, or on your Android phone or iPhone — you have the option to specify that you liked or disliked certain “aspects” of it. So say you've discovered a new restaurant, and you've just finished your meal. You pull out your Android phone to rate and review the place, and right above the empty field where you write your review, you see options to quickly rate things like "food,” "service" or "atmosphere:"

Not too long ago, we launched a nifty feature for Google Maps for Android that lets you customize these aspects. So if you think a particular bar makes excellent cocktails, or a restaurant has a great in-house band, you can add it yourself and share it with the world:

Since launch, you guys have been having so much fun creating your own aspects, we want to share some of the more popular ones we’re seeing:

  • Croissants
  • Free Wifi
  • Pho
  • Authenticity
  • Pad Thai
  • Burritos
  • Beer Garden
  • Dumplings
  • Espresso
  • Roaches
  • Guacamole
  • Restroom
  • Fried Pickles
  • Gas Prices
  • Garlic Fries
  • Haggis Balls
  • Hot Belgian Waffles

What kinds of things make or break a place for you? Share the custom aspects you’ve been using in the comments below!
