Info Post
Hi, all! I’m Christina Collada. (Yes, it sounds like piña colada. No, there’s no need for you to sing the song. Yes, you are the first person ever to make that connection.) I’m here to shake things up as the new Portland community manager, and I’m super psyched to be on the team working to get you just as psyched about all the nifty features of Google Places, including the ability to rate and review the places you love and share them with friends. So let’s all continue sharing our favorite places in Portland with one another, and have some fun while we’re at it. I look forward to seeing you around town, as we get everyone on board the Google Places movement.

But first, here’s a little background on me. I’m from Oregon originally — Salem to be precise, or as we affectionately like to call it “So-lame” — and I’ve lived in PDX for the past eight years. You may have seen me around, either covered in mud at a local cyclocross race, pouring wine at a festival, or talking to business owners about all the great ways Google Places can connect them to their customers as part of the Google Business Outreach team.

But enough about me, there’s no time to waste: We need to settle the debate on important issues, such as the best Bloody Marys in Portland, the best burritos, the best bike shops, the best vegan sandwiches, the best farmers markets, and so many more!

Since the mission is sharing Best Evers, I thought I’d start by sharing a few of mine, and maybe inspire some passionate conversation:

  • I like to start my lazy Sunday’s right at Genies, with their spicy Bloody Marys and Eggs Benedicts. What’s your favorite place to get a Bloody Mary?
  • Or perhaps you prefer a burrito? The pic above is me just after wiping out a La Bonita burrito, but I’m also a fan of Los Gorditos
  • And I can’t forget my other lunch time favorite, Taste Tickler. You could see me there numerous times a week waiting for a 10” Famous Tickler.

These are just some of my many favorite Portland places, so now I want to hear yours! Share your Best Evers in the comments below, ping me at @GooglePDX on Twitter, or join our discussions on Facebook. We’ve got lots of exciting things planned for you around town, stay tuned for more details. Let the games begin!
