Info Post
Editor’s Note: Now and then we'll spotlight one of our amazing Google Places reviewers. Both so you guys can start to get to know one another and so we can pull together and share our favorite local places. This week we introduce you to Boaz Frankel of Portland, Oregon.

To find out more about our community activities in Portland, visit us at google.com/portland or follow us on Twitter at @GooglePDX.

Boaz, a TV producer and filmmaker, moved back to Portland after a decade of being away helped him remember what a great city Portland is. He loves walking and biking around town, especially during the summer, and he’s on a quest to find the best chocolate chip cookies in Portland. You might run into him in the Belmont-Sunnyside neighborhood or on his journey to cookie glory.

What's your favorite thing about sharing reviews on Places?
It's fun to look through the list of “people like you” and see where they're going. Then I go to those places and try to recognize them from their photo. Is that creepy? Either way, it hasn't worked yet.

Do you have any secret talents?
I'm a professional kazooist, and I'm the chief kazooist (when I can get up there) for Seattle's jugband sensation, The Dexter Street Stompers.

What would your superpower be?
Flight, then I could zip from Beaverton to Gresham in no time! Invisibility would just get awkward.

Tell us about some of your Best Evers.

Journeys: A cozy bar in a converted house with a staff that makes you feel like family, and a great selection of local and unusual beers along with some great "bites." Check out the grilled cheese bites with dipping sauces!

Happy Sparrow Cafe: This place may be around the corner from me, but I think I'd trek across the city to come here. They've got the friendliest owners, a cozy space, a great selection of teas and delicious kolaches.

Tug Boat Brewing Co: This is my go-to place if someone wants to grab a beer downtown. It's tucked away on a side street so it's never too crowded, the beer selection's fantastic and they've got board games! It's dim and cozy and as comfortable as your own living room. Also, they've got great cider!

Khun Pic’s Bahn Thai: It's hidden behind some trees and I waited over an hour for my food, but it's definitely worth it. It's the freshest and most flavorful Thai food you'll find in town and the space is charming, casual and very homey. Just make sure you get here early — you'll be waiting a while.
