Info Post
A couple weekends ago, we held the first in a series of four artistic workshops hosted by the Google Places team in Madison, Wisconsin. Our purpose was to bring together members of the Madison art community at a beloved local art spot to get creative, illustrate and interpret their favorite Madison places. And, wow, did you guys impress us with your skills!

Under the direction of artist Beth Heeney, of Green Cricket Salvage, around 20 Madisonians participated in a Salvage Art Workshop. The event was hosted by Absolutely Art, and attendees learned how to give new life to old canvases, incorporating decoupage, miscellaneous objects, and iconic Madison imagery.

Participants rolled up their sleeves and got elbow deep in paint, creating 10 one-of-a-kind artistic impressions of Madison:

Our next upcoming event is at 6 p.m. tonight at the rooftop of Monona Terrace. Madison photographer Deborah Proctor will be hosting a walking photography tour of downtown Madison for up to around 30 people. Please RSVP if you are interested in joining us.
