Info Post
Bark Hot Dogs and Google Places have something in common: both love local. Bark makes its hot dogs from quality cuts of meat using ingredients that are locally sourced. The wood used for the tables and to line the walls of the eatery is reclaimed pine from buildings in the region. And Bark taps local companies to purchase environmentally friendly cleaning products, as well as commercial composting and recycling services.

But Bark isn’t just eco-friendly, it’s a purveyor of great food and voted one of the 10 Best Hot Dogs in America. Google Places loves supporting local businesses, and we were looking forward to heading on over to Prospect Heights, Brooklyn, last week to do a giveaway at this beloved eatery.

Bark is conveniently located right near the Bergen Street subway station. Quite a few commuters unfamiliar with our promo stopped in to see what Google Places was doing there and got treated to a free artisanal hot dog and Google Places schwag!

Me, Margarita, getting ready for showtime!

Laptops were provided so that folks could review some of their favorite places before chowing down. Surprise, surprise: Dozens of people chose to write reviews of Bark Hot Dogs!

We could definitely see why so many people rave about this place. Apart from being eco-friendly and a fun hangout for people of all ages, Bark cares about good food. The gourmet franks are made to order, with fresh ingredients and house made toppings. To say they’re delicious is an understatement!

Yes, that is bacon you see on this hot dog. Yes, it made our taste buds happy.
