Hawaiian Happy Hour with Google New York

Even the most die-hard New Yorker yearns to get out of the city sometimes — especially in the summer, when the heat can be pretty oppressive. But what do you do when you just can’t get out of town?

You head to Lani Kai in SoHo, of course! As owner Julie Reiner puts it, Lani Kai “pairs the tropical beauty and flavors of the Pacific with the pulse and edge of Gotham.” Which is why it made the perfect spot for the Hawaiian Happy Hour we hosted recently.

Not only were there delicious tropical drinks and AMAZING pork bun sliders (a crowd favorite), we also had laptops on hand for New Yorkers who wanted to write reviews of their favorite places.

We also brought along our beloved Mr. Emoji (in sticker form) — always a crowd-pleaser!

While we’re still pining for that trip to Hawaii, some fun with friends at Lani Kai was a close second. We’re definitely looking forward to our next trip!
