Info Post
Editor’s Note: Now and then we'll spotlight one of our amazing Google Places reviewers. Both so you guys can start to get to know one another and so we can pull together and share our favorite local places. This week we introduce you to Stephanie Nemeth of Portland, Oregon.

To find out more about our community activities in Portland, visit us at google.com/portland or follow us on Twitter at @GooglePDX.

Some background: Stephanie moved to Portland last year to escape the heat of the Deep South. She loves the summers here, “the insanely easy access to vegetarian food,” and being so close to Mt. Hood where she goes snowboarding every weekend from November to May. And in the summer, she goes to Mt. Hood for rockhounding. We’re waiting on pics of her rock collection. Keep an eye out for Stephanie at our Google Places events, downtown, or out on the slopes.

What's your favorite thing about sharing reviews on Places?

I like writing reviews for small businesses around the city that are doing awesome and unique things.

Can you share with us an insider tip for your city?

Ride the vintage trolley at least once.  It's kitschy awesomeness... and you might learn a little about Portland.

What’s your ultimate guilty pleasure?

The Jaime at The Grilled Cheese Grill.

Out of the Google Portland events you've been to, which one's your favorite and why?

Beervana tour! How can you not have a good time when you are squished in bus with 14 others and enjoying the best brew pubs in Portland?

Tell us about some of your Best Evers.

Tea Chai Te: My favorite chill spot in Portland. One of only a few tea houses in Portland. Bubble teas are excellent and perfect on a warm afternoon, and their tea selection is superb. My favorites are the black teas and the Mt. Hood vanilla. My husband raves about the coconut oolong. Downside: It is crowded all the time, and people tend to hang around for a long time at tables.

DC Vegetarian: Most awesome vegan burgers ever. Best in Portland. The bacon cheeseburger has an incredible smoky, almost BBQ flavor that is delicious. My non-veg husband loves their vegetarian cheeseburger. The steak-n-cheese hoagie is HUGE and enough for two meals (for me).

Timberline Lodge & Ski Area: I love Timberline. It's where I learned to snowboard this season! I purchased the fusion pass (ride at both T-line and skibowl) and spent nearly every weekend up there. The day lodge is definitely showing its age, but the staff is incredible. Everyone from lifties to rental shop employees are super friendly and helpful.
