Info Post
On July 21, the Google Places team headed out to The Boathouse in Brooklyn’s Prospect Park for a very special event: the 2011 Summer Soiree.

Guests were taken on electric boat rides around the pond until dark.

Every year, the event has a different theme, and this year’s was “Galactic Star Groove.” There were giant lanterns and lights strung up to look like planets and stars, glow necklaces provided for all, and even astronaut ice cream served as one of the refreshments!

This wasn’t just an ordinary cocktail party, though. It was a Prospect Park Junior Committee party in support of Prospect Park. Guests were invited to participate in a silent auction, and we were on hand to sign people up to win a prize package of dinners at several beloved Brooklyn restaurants.

We can't speak for all the blondes, but these two, Esther Brown, Manhattan community manager, and me, Margarita, have a LOT of fun.

It was a great party supporting an even greater cause — a big thanks to the Prospect Park Alliance for inviting us to be part of this year’s Soiree.

Keep up with all the fun Places goings-on around New York by following us on Twitter and Facebook.
